Your residents will receive their complimentary glasses promptly, as we handle all paperwork and provide an end-to-end service. We genuinely care about your residents, treating each individual with utmost respect and offering the best value solutions for their needs.
During an eye exam, your Optometrist performs several tests to assess your vision, prescription and overall health of your eyes. We use the best domiciliary equipment for thorough assessment of the front and back of the eye, checking for changes to blood vessels and other structures which can be related to general health conditions, such as blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid irregularities, and arthritis.
We also assess the overall binocular function to rule out any potential double vision, as well as intraocular pressure - the primary controllable risk factor for glaucoma. We measure prescriptions using a combination of objective and subjective testing, ensuring that all patients (including non-verbal) receive an accurate prescription for any glasses they may need. Our Optometrists have also completed additional specialist qualifications, enabling all pre and post cataract assessments, as well as Urgent Eye Clinic Assessments. This helps to fast track any referrals where needed to the appropriate clinics, and saves residents the hassle of multiple hospital visits.
After your eye test is complete, the optometrist will inform you if you need to begin wearing glasses or update your current prescription. They will guide you through our range of frames and lens options, ensuring that you choose the perfect pair of glasses that suit your style and requirements. If you qualify for NHS funding towards the cost of your glasses, you will be eligible for a free pair of glasses.
Your new glasses will be handcrafted with precision, ensuring that they are tailored to your unique prescription after approximately 2 weeks, we will notify you of a convenient date for your delivery and fitting visit with your optical advisor. During this visit, your glasses will be expertly fitted and adjusted for maximum comfort and satisfaction.
Our optical advisor will also perform a comprehensive vision check to ensure that your prescription is accurate and effective. Trust us to provide you with a seamless and personalized eyewear experience.
If during your test, your optician detects any symptoms that indicate a more serious condition, they may refer you to your GP or local hospital for further examination.
